Huanghai Shipbuilding delivered a 1800TEU container ship

On March 20, 2024, Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. successfully delivered the "SEATRADE CHILE" 1800TEU container ship built for Dutch shipowner SEATRADE. The SEATRADE CHILE is the first ship in a series of six 1800TEU containers previously signed by both parties.
The ship has a total length of 172.00 meters, a width of 28.4 meters, a depth of 14.2 meters, a designed draft of 8.5 meters, a maximum load capacity of approximately 24000 tons, a designed speed of 18.7 knots, and is equipped with high-efficiency propellers and energy-saving twist rudders. It is an energy-saving and economical container ship with low energy consumption, high speed, and high load capacity. The design of this ship is suitable for the operational requirements of regional, multi port, and frequently loaded and unloaded feeder container ships, greatly improving the overall economy of the ship. Configure SCR, desulfurization tower device, 630 refrigerated containers, and the subsequent ship will be equipped with AMP medium voltage shore power, deck crane, etc.
At present, Huanghai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has built and delivered 22 1800TEU container series ships, and it is expected to deliver another 13 ships in 2024.
